StonyTellers: Game is Over
Farewell party In the Garden
The StonyTellers collective invites you to join them in cooking soup made from produce grown in the garden that was created on the Tusculum Prague grounds during the 2026 Biennale Matter of Art. The Tusculum Residency center, managed by the Petrohradská collective, must vacate the grounds of the Chittussi Hospital and park. Come say goodbye at the final community event organized here by StonyTellers.
Throughout the biennial, we played a game together called Who is talking in the Garden?, which sought to imagine a possible future for Tusculum Garden and ask the question of who the garden belongs to. We explored it from unusual perspectives, through the agency of its various inhabitants and nooks and crannies: plants, insects, soil, water, human visitors, and even those elements that usually go unnoticed. Each “actor” had different needs, interests, desires, and limitations. Through conversation, listening, and negotiation, we tried to understand each individual’s position and seek a shared way for the garden to continue functioning. Today, however, we know that our views and perspectives were not taken into account, and the garden as we know it, along with the Tusculum complex, is coming to an end.
So let’s say goodbye to it together and cook a soup from the produce we grew together in the garden. Instead of a final game session, let’s feast and have fun together.
The party is ON!
*This event is also a fundraiser, with proceeds going toward covering the costs associated with moving Burnout Space (the StonyTellers studio) and the vegetable garden to a new location.
