Plan your visit of the Biennale Matter of Art 2026
ADMISSION
Admission to the exhibition as well as the public program of the biennale is free of charge.
ACCESSIBILITY
The exhibition venues at the National Gallery Prague and the Pardubice City Gallery are wheelchair accessible. Tusculum Prague is a multi-level venue and is not fully wheelchair accessible. Detailed descriptions of accessibility can be found in the Venues section. The content of the exhibition is available in the original language with Czech and/or English translation.
FIRST DAY OF THE EXHIBITION
The exhibition will be open to the public for the first time on Friday, June 12, 2026, during standard opening hours at all venues. For more information, see the Venues section.
RESERVATIONS
For select events in the program with limited capacity, you can reserve seats in the Reservations section.
PUBLIC PROGRAM
The biennale program comprises guided tours, performances, discussions, screenings, community meet-ups, and educational and mediation workshops. Admission to all events is free of charge. A schedule of all the events can be found here.
GUIDED TOURS
Guided tours of the biennale are conducted regularly in both Czech and English. Either the curators of the biennale (František Fekete, Jakub Gawkowski, and Jaroslava Tomanová), a professional guide from the National Gallery Prague or GAMPA, or selected artists will accompany you through the exhibition, depending on the specific time of the tour. At the end of the tour there is always time reserved for questions from the viewers. Special tours for groups and schools can be booked by e-mail at the address info@matterof.art. In the case of any change to the program, details will be posted in the Program section.
