The Biennale Matter of Art invites children aged 9–14 to attend a summer camp in Prague and a series of creative workshops.
We are looking for children aged 9–14 with an interest in art to participate in a free creative camp that will take place August 26–29, 2024. The camp will be held in the framework of the Biennale Matter of Art 2024, which opens on June 13 at the Trade Fair Palace of the National Gallery Prague. The biennale is organized by tranzit.cz, and the camp is part of the exhibition’s accompanying program. Participants will be guided through the camp by: artist Eva Koťátková, PhD student at the Academy of Fine Arts and member of the Mothers Artlovers collective Bára Šimková, DJ, musician, and journalist Mary C, theater director and dramaturg Magda Stojowska, and poet, educator, and illustrator Tadeáš Polák. Participation in the opening and closing meetings and workshops on July 18 and September 15 is a prerequisite. The camp is designed for children who have their own accommodations in the vicinity and can participate in all of the dates of the program. The camp and workshop series will help children find a distinctive way to think about art and exhibitions, find confidence in expressing their own opinions, and discover ways to impact the world around them. Food (2x snack + lunch), drinks, facilities, and all materials for art activities will be provided.
