Felipe Steinberg

Felipe Steinberg (*1986, Campinas, Brazil) works at the intersection of cultural production, public programming, and nontraditional essayistic formats situated between video and spoken word. He enlists various types of media and systems of circulation to untangle the constructed meanings of the local and the global. Steinberg was a public program and film program coordinator (lumbung Film) at documenta fifteen in Kassel (2022), and he is currently a producer and program coordinator at Mophradat in Athens. Steinberg attended the Whitney Independent Study Program in New York (2019), he was a fellow at Raw Material Company in Dakar (2019), and he was recently awarded the 2026 Art Futures Fellowship. His work has been presented in venues such as the Museum of Fine Arts, Houston; the Oscar Niemeyer Museum, Curitiba; Anthology Film Archives, New York; the Khalil Sakakini Cultural Center, Ramallah; the Visual Arts Center at the University of Texas, Austin; and 1After320, New Delhi.
