Hajnal Németh
Hajnal Németh (*1972) creates musical performances, site specific sound- and spatial installations, videos and photographs. Her projects are mostly based on textbooks containing her own writings or slightly modified quotations such as lyrics or prose fragments. In her works she treats the boundaries of artistic categories with liberty. She is most intrigued by the interdisciplinarity between the fields of fine art and music, with special regard to time-based forms of art that can be experienced in the methods of process. Her work was nominated for the Nam June Paik Award in 2010. She was representing Hungary at the Venice Biennale in 2011. She lives and works in Berlin.
