The week-long trip at the beginning of October 2023 took members of the tranzit.cz team to institutions that are looking for new ways to make art institutions more accessible to a wider public. Galleries and museums can serve as open spaces for intercultural dialogue, but they can also host group therapy sessions or various community projects and activities.

In Berlin, tranzit.cz visited Galerie Im Turm, HKW (Haus der Kulturen der Welt) and Savvy Contemporary, in Amsterdam and Utrecht the galleries Framer Framed, Buro Stedelijk, W139, BAK and CASCO, as well as the graphic studio The Rodina.

Discussions with curators, educators and other representatives of these institutions focused on the exchange of knowledge and experience in the areas of accessibility of institutions and their work with communities.

The mobility was funded by the European Union – NextGenerationEU.
