East Europe Biennial Alliance: East to East

27. 05. 2021 11:00
OFF-Biennále Budapest Live discussion

On Thursday May 27th, we are taking part in the online program of the ongoing OFF-Biennále Budapest. At 11:00am, there will be a discussion with East Europe Biennial Alliance members revolving around the ways in which each biennale engages with the geopolitics of Eastern Europe in connection with the geopolitics of the Global South.

A dialogue between members of the curatorial working group of the Biennale Matter of Art 2022 will follow at 2:15pm. Aziza Harmel, Rado Ištok, Piotr Sikora, Renan Laru-an, Tereza Stejskalová, and Veronika Janatková will engage in a conversation about the thematic foundation of the planned biennale, which builds on the current discourse surrounding how to address the historical entanglement of art museums in Eastern Europe and their collections within the scope of global colonial relations.
