Miriama Kardošová

Miriama Kardošová (1988, Ilava) is a Slovak interdisciplinary artist based in Prague. Initially known for expressive, large-scale oil paintings addressing mental health stigma, patriarchy, and personal experience with depressive-anxiety disorder, she shifted from painting due to creative constraints. From 2017, her focus turned to performance art—beginning with works like Gelber Himmel in Berlin, where she explored physical limits and forced intimacy with the audience. She later engaged in collaborative projects within the underground club scene and co-founded the performance collective Romeo & Hellion with Jan Durina. Since 2022, her current project Victoria Oren features chaotic, punk-inspired performances emphasizing direct emotional and physical audience interaction across galleries, clubs, and public spaces.
