Leila Basma

Leila Basma (*1994, Tyre, Lebanon) is a Lebanese director and screenwriter based between Prague and Beirut. She holds a master’s degree in film directing from FAMU. Her graduation film Sea Salt (2023) premiered at the 80th Venice Film Festival before being screened internationally and later streaming on HBO Max. Basma also teaches screenwriting and directing at FAMU, she founded Arab Girls in Film, and she is currently developing two feature films.

Zaher Jureidini

Zaher Jureidini (*1994, Byblos, Lebanon) is a Lebanese cinematographer based between Prague and Beirut. He earned a master’s degree in cinematography from FAMU and has worked on short films, music videos, art videos, and commercials in Lebanon, the SWANA region, and Europe. He also engages in curatorial practice and film research, focusing on how moving images shape political and historical narratives.
