Dominik Styk
Dominik Styk (b. 1996) is a Slovak artist who studied Time-Based Media at the University of Fine Arts Hamburg under Michaela Melián and Kader Attia. His background in scenography (DAMU, Prague) deeply informs his practice, characterized by a frequent use of textiles and wearable objects that reference the human body and are often incorporated into installations and performances. He has participated in residencies at the Academy of Fine Arts Nürnberg and Vienna. His work has been exhibited internationally, including at Zlínský Salón Mladých 2024, Kunstverein Schwerin, and Gesellschaft für Aktuelle Kunst Bremen, and he has collaborated on theatre productions such as Handsfree with D’epog.
