Attracting more than 2000 visitors, the Opening Weekend of the 2026 Biennale Matter of Art was an exhilarating start to the fourth edition of the biennale. The program included performances by Nadia Markiewicz, Michal Durda & Izbová Teplota, Zoi Michailova, Seba Kayan, Parta, Andreas Palmer, Elastix, and Felipe Steinberg, as well as a happening and poetry reading with the collective GALAS, a workshop with StonyTellers, a meditative collective reading session with kroužek intersekce, guided tours of the exhibition with curators and artists, as well as launches of two new publications – tranzit’s brand new book, and a feminist bulletin.
