Long live the helpers and airless spaces

At the turn of the year, the tranzit.cz initiative for contemporary art published two new books. The critical essay Death of the Artist. Long Live the Helpers! by curator Tereza Stejskalová is about the exploitation of support workers who are marginalised in the art industry. Autobiographical short story collection by feminist author Shulamith Firestone Airless Spaces is a is a prosaic probe into the environment of New York psychiatric hospitals. The book includes illustrations by artist Sráč Sam.
